BROADCASTS
Tuesday, Jan 13
Our sixth-grade students in Mr. Jones’s Science class have been actively learning about weather patterns through hands-on analysis of real-time data collected from the school weather station, which was purchased as part of SIMS’s new STEM program. With additional support from Mr. Carlock, students have expanded their learning beyond meteorology to include weather production, green screening, and videography.
After building foundational knowledge and technical skills, students will begin taking turns several times each week, delivering weather reports to our community. This week marked their first experience in front of the camera, allowing them to gain confidence and become familiar with the production process. Some students were eager and excited, while others are continuing to practice and refine their delivery.
