Here's What's Happening At Webster!!!!

It has been an exciting 1st quarter for the Rockets at Webster.  The students at all levels were introduced to the new common core reading standards set forth by the state of Illinois. These standards are set to help students achieve for the jobs of tomorrow. The staff is being trained to teach the new Reading Street Series.  There are many digital aspects that allow teachers to be bring reading to life.  We are still, however, a book oriented school, but it is so much more exciting.  Each teacher and specials teacher have been given an IPAD with apps that are coordinated to help teach the new series.

We are going strong with our Saxon Math series as always.  The series has provided us with great results on ISAT testing.

We just finished our quarterly celebration with PBIS.  We had ZUMBA training from Julie Shepherd and Rachel Simpson, two senior girls from RIHS, what a wonderful job they did.  Thank you girls.

Our building just created a PBIS student council, called the Rocket Stars Student Council.  They are helping the PBIS Staff team develop kid oriented ideas into the mix.  Thank you to the Rocket Stars. 

So many wonderful teachers are working hard to create a positive academic and emotional environment so that our students can achieve more than the generation before them.  Thank you to the wonderful staff at Webster.
